Police officer faces corruption probe
The police watchdog has launched an inquiry following allegations an officer conspired to pervert the course of justice.
The Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) is investigating a complaint of a Merseyside Police officer involved in a 2010 investigation, where the complainant was arrested - charged with breaching a non-molestation order, but acquitted.
IPCC Commissioner Naseem Malik said: “A fully independent investigation will be conducted.”
