AN Angry Birds Activity Park will be opening to the public at Lightwater Valley, Ripon, on Saturday.

A real life version of the popular paid-for app, the Angry Birds Activity Park includes an indoor Angry Birds Space experience as well as an outdoor Angry Bird world including gigantic nesting towers, pig slides and interactive dance games.

Covering over 30,000 square feet, the activity park has indoor and outdoors areas and will be a year round attraction. Allan Leech, chief executive of Lightwater Valley Attractions Ltd said: “In 2012 Angry Birds was the most popular paid-for app on Apple’s App Store, so when we were looking at a £1m investment in creating a new attraction here at the park it was clearly a popular choice.”

He said the park was already seeing an increase in advanced ticket sales.
