Harry Ashfield makes deadline day move

Ashfield did seal a permanent move away from Wrexham on deadline day but did not pitch up in Yorkshire,.

He instead linked up with Peterborough United, signing for an undisclosed fee and penning a three-year deal containing a 12-month extension option.

After putting pen to paper, the Wales Under-21s international said: “It has been a crazy 24 hours and I am delighted it is over the line. The way that the club is run and how they view young players, I am absolutely delighted to be here.

“This club gives young players opportunity, I can't wait to get started and to show the fans what I am about. I spoke to a few of the players that have played here before like Jack Marriott about the club and they were really positive so now it is about looking forward to getting on the training pitch with the lads.”
