Bradford City transfer latest: Bantams snap up Leicester City midfielder to secure sixth summer signing

BRADFORD City have completed the signing of Leicester City midfielder Henry Cartwright on a three-year deal.

The 21-year-old has become the club’s sixth signing of a busy first half of the summer and has joined for an undisclosed fee.

His arrival follows on from the addition of Callum Connolly and Adam Phillips, to strengthen City’s options in the middle of the park after the exits of Max Power and Jenson Metcalfe.

Cartwright’s move ends a 13-year association at the King Power Stadium.

The schemer spent an impressive loan spell last term at SPL side Falkirk. In his time in the East Midlands, Cartwright has made three appearances for the Foxes under-21s side.

Carwright made 42 appearances for the Bairns last season and netted a fine long-range strike against Rangers.

On joining the club, Cartwright said: “I am absolutrly buzzing; this has been in the works for a while now, it is finally here and I am delighted.

"The supporters are so loud here. It is not the first time I have played at Valley Parade; I have played here in the EFL Trophy. I cannot wait to get started now.”
