Bradford City 1 Leyton Orient 0 - Callum Cooke on the spot for Bantams


Cooke kept his cool to smash home after substitute Oliver Crankshaw had been chopped down with nine minutes to go.
It secured a battling win for the Bantams who had laboured throughout to unlock the Londoners’ resolute defence.

Hide AdDanny Rowe and Crankshaw had earlier seen good second-half chances go begging.
Jobi McAnuff had a 25-yard free-kick deflected for a corner as the visitors threatened first.
Rowe had a deflected shot saved by Lawrence Vigouroux while Gareth Evans brought another save out of the Orient keeper after a swift break.
Dan Kemp curled just wide of the far post following a rare Orient attack on 30 minutes.

Hide AdRowe missed a great chance to put the Bantams ahead when Vigouroux saved his attempted lob after Sam Hornby’s clearance caught Orient napping on 47 minutes.
Evans had a snapshot saved at the near post on 55 minutes, before Crankshaw had a near post effort superbly saved by Vigouroux.
But City finally hit the front late on when Cooke powerfully rifled into the top corner from 12 yards after Crankshaw was fouled.
