Walsall v Harrogate Town - Josh McPake injury boost

Harrogate town will be without Simon Power for their trip to Walsall – and the remainder of 2020/21 – however fellow wideman Josh McPake could play some part.

The Glasgow Rangers loanee followed his team-mate in limping off the pitch during Saturday’s 1-0 home loss to Southend.

But, while Power has been ruled out for the foreseeable future with a hamstring problem, McPake’s ankle issue turned out to be far less serious.

“Josh is okay. He will be absolutely fine for the Walsall game on Friday,” Harrogate manager Simon Weaver said. “He has had a couple of issues with his ankles so he’s been given a strengthening programme that will hopefully help him in terms of coping with some of the difficult pitches we’re having to play on at the moment.”
