Huddersfield Town boss reveals Ryan Ledson blow plus updates on Samson Tovide, Jack Whatmough and two others
HUDDERSFIELD Town head coach Martin Drury has confirmed that captain Ryan Ledson will be out for ‘four to six weeks’ after damaging his elbow in last weekend’s League One draw at Mansfield Town.
The midfielder, pretty much a constant in the Town side in an impressive 2026, exited the fray at Field Mill on 38 minutes and looked to be in consider pain.
Drury, whose unbeaten side face Bromley for the first time on Saturday – they make the trip to Hayes Lane - said: “We lose Ryan now for probably about four to six weeks; he has an issue with his ligaments in his elbow.
"It’s positive that he doesn't need surgery, that was a real positive. He has a tear in his tricep as well, so we've got a couple of issues, it was quite a heavy fall in the game.

"It is disappointing for both him and us as a group, because he's been a real leader for us and his performances have been really good.
"So, we’re disappointed to lose Ryan. He'll be frustrated, he is frustrated, but it presents an opportunity for other people to step up.
"We’ll look after Ryan and make sure he comes back physically and mentally in a good place and we look forward to his return.
"But until then, people have got an opportunity now to step up and play games that they've been pining to do, so we look forward to that."

Providing an update on David Kasumu, Jack Whatmough ,Sean Roughan and Samson Tovide, Drury continued: "Jack Whatmough’s trained Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week, so he'll be available for selection to an extent.
"Sean Roughan's the same, he’s trained Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday this week, again he’s available for selection to an extent this weekend.
"Samson Tovide is the same, he’s available this weekend. Kasumu's not quite there yet, so we're still nursing that injury with him, so he won't be available this week, but the other three are in contention for some minutes.
