Huddersfield Town captain to miss Bradford City derby after being handed three-match ban following Sheffield Wednesday game
HUDDERSFIELD Town captain Ryan Ledson has been handed a three-match ban and £7,000 fine after being sanctioned for misconduct by the FA following the League One fixture with Sheffield Wednesday.
Ledson, who did not feature in the October 10 game due to injury, was charged with misconduct after the Yorkshire derby.
He is deemed to have used abusive and/or insulting words towards a match official around the tunnel area at half-time and also after the final whistle.
A controversial finale saw Wednesday awarded a stoppage-time penalty after referee Edward Duckworth initially gave a corner. Following a considerable delay, a spot-kick was given. Owls striker Jamal Lowe converted from 12 yards and the game ended 2-2.

The punishment means that Ledson – who had recently returned to training following an elbow problem – will miss the league fixtures against Wigan Athletic, Bradford City and Luton Town.
The midfielder’s last appearance was in the draw at Mansfield Town on September 12.
A Town statement read: "Town club captain Ryan Ledson has been sanctioned for misconduct by the FA following our Sky Bet League One home fixture with Sheffield Wednesday at the Accu Stadium on Saturday 10 October 2026.
"Following the fixture, it was alleged that the midfielder used abusive and/or insulting words towards a match official around the tunnel area at half-time, and also after the final whistle.

"After admitting to the charge, an Independent Regulatory Commission imposed a three-match ban and £7,000 fine with immediate effect.
"As a result, Ledson will now remain suspended for our upcoming Sky Bet League One fixtures with Wigan Athletic, Bradford City and Luton Town.”
