Huddersfield Town feeling positive 'underneath the frustration' as Marcus Harness salutes culture
Marcus Harness has discussed Huddersfield Town’s progress following their 1-1 draw with Notts County
Marcus Harness has insisted Huddersfield Town are feeling positive “underneath the frustration” brought on by their 1-1 draw with Notts County.
The Terriers enjoyed the lion’s share of possession on Saturday (September 5) and created a plethora of chances against the Magpies.
However, Martin Paterson’s men came away with a point in the bag after Harness’ opener was cancelled out by Ollie Cooper.
A draw was not the result Huddersfield wanted, yet kept their unbeaten start to the League One season going.

Marcus Harness on Huddersfield Town progress
Harness told HTTV: “Ultimately, we are feeling quite positive, underneath the frustration in there. We want to win every game, and I think we have probably done enough to get something from it.
“We concede a set-piece, and then we don’t put the ball in the back of the net at their end. I think we have created a lot of chances, and we have fought until the very end, trying to push for the winning goal.
“It just wasn’t to be today, but I think we’ve come a long way. The feeling and the culture in the group, with the chances that we are creating are really positive.”
Marcus Harness’ versatility
Harness has been an influential figure for the Terriers since his arrivalfrom Ipswich Town in the summer of 2025. A versatile figure, the 30-year-old playmaker has been used in a variety of attacking roles.

He said: “I’ll play anywhere. I’ve played in a multitude of positions so far. I’m not bothered - it’s not about me. It’s about the team and I want the team to do well.
“If I play left wing-back, left-back, six, 10, I don’t mind. I’m really enjoying it so far. We’ve started the season really well and long may it continue.”
