Anton Stach shares 'back soon' hope following injury blow in Leeds United's FA Cup win over West Ham
Anton Stach hopes to back “soon” after picking up an injury in Leeds United’s FA Cup win over West Ham United.
Leeds booked an FA Cup semi-final showdown with Chelsea by edging past West Ham on penalties at the weekend, but progression came at a cost.
Stach was forced off after finding himself on the receiving end of a Maximilian Kilman foul and later shared a picture of his right ankle looking swollen on social media.
The 27-year-old has now shared another message via Instagram, thanking Leeds fans for their support and outlining his hope to be back in action soon.

Anton Stach’s social media message
He said: “Quarter-finals in the cart, next stop: Wembley. I hope to be back soon and ready to roll. Thank you for the amazing support.”
Stach will have already been the subject of tests and Whites boss Daniel Farke will be asked for an update when he next faces the media.
However, it currently looks unlikely he will be available for Leeds’ trip to bitter rivals Manchester United on Monday (April 13).
After the victory in the capital, Whites boss Daniel Farke said: "Anton probably should have been rewarded with a penalty as well. He was hit against his ankle, he rolled it and probably a ligament injury. We have to assess how bad it is.
"I hope it's not too bad because with him, he was running the whole game in the beginning and was so crucial for us and it was a major setback to lose him during this first half."

Anton Stach’s impact at Leeds United
Stach has proven to be a shrewd signing for Leeds, who forked out a reported £17m to prise him from Hoffenheim in the last summer window.
An all-action midfielder, Stach won his first Germany cap since 2022 during the most recent international break.
After the midfielder was taken back into the international fold, Farke said: "It's well-deserved because Anton plays in the best league in the world with unbelievable consistency.

“His data is on a top level, he has played and adapted to English football more or less from the first day.
"His all-round game is very important for us in terms of winning balls, against the ball, he always puts a shift in and covers lots of distance, wins many duels.”
