'It's not a surprise' - Harry Wilson's slow start at Leeds United assessed by ex-Premier League scout
An ex-scout has weighed in on Harry Wilson’s start to life at Leeds United
A former Premier League scout does not believe Harry Wilson’s slow start to life at Leeds United is a cause for concern.
The winger was purused by Leeds in the summer of 2025, only for a deadline day move from Fulham to fall through.
He instead stayed in the capital and enjoyed the best season of his career to date, registering 10 goals and seven assists in the Premier League.
Leeds landed the 29-year-old upon the expiry of his Cottagers deal in the summer, although are yet to see him reach full flow.

Harry Wilson verdict delivered
Mick Brown, a former scout for the likes of Blackburn Rovers and Sunderland, told Football Insider: “To be honest, it's not a surprise that Wilson has had a slow start at Leeds.
“He had a great season for Fulham last time out, probably the best of his career, but he's always been a bit inconsistent and can go through spells where not much happens.
“It's not a major issue, some players are like that, and he seems to be at his best when he's confident and getting involved in everything.
“Sometimes it can take a while for that to click at a new club, and that can raise concerns for the fans, for the manager and for the player himself, but it won't be a big problem.
“This is just how Wilson is, he can have quiet spells, but he can also go through spells where he's scoring and assisting every week, so you have to take the rough with the smooth.”

Harry Wilson’s fresh start at Leeds United
Wilson had an array of options in the summer and Leeds were widely lauded for conducting shrewd business when they won the race for his signature.
He ended a lengthy association with Fulham to make the move to West Yorkshire, departing Craven Cottage after amassing 187 appearances over a five-year period.
The Wales international has not raced out of the traps but did grab his first assist in Leeds colours on Wednesday (September 9), in the club’s 6-3 Carabao Cup loss to Chelsea.
