Neighbours share £750,000 jackpot as Yorkshire celebrates third Postcode Lottery win in a week
Two neighbours in a Yorkshire seaside town are sharing £750,000 following Yorkshire’s third Postcode Lottery win within the space of a week.
After two quaint Yorkshire villages scooped prizes earlier this week, now Bridlington has been revealed as the latest postcode to be drawn from the hat.
It comes after the postcode YO16 6ZR was announced as the winning postcode in the lottery’s monhtly £250,000 draw.
Each winning ticket in the draw is worth £250,000, and with one of the lucky winners playing with two tickets, it meant they scooped £500,000.
The other winner played with just one ticket so picked up £250,000. Both winners have decided to remain anonymous.
Lottery ambassador Judie McCourt congratulated the players on their bumper prizes.

She said: “What a win for the two players in this historic seaside town. They’ll be as happy as clams because the world is now their lobster!”
It comes hot off the back of two Yorkshire villages picking up huge prizes earlier in the week.
On Sunday (Oct 25), the village of Dacre, near Harrogate, was announced as the winner of the lottery’s Millionaire Street prize after HG3 4AP was drawn.
It meant one lucky winner bagged a total of £378,282, while 88 other people in the surrounding area get a share of the prize as part of the HG3 4 postcode area.
It means they have won between £6,155 and £18,465, depending on how many tickets they play with.
Just one day later, villagers in Birdsedge, near Huddersfield, were celebrating scooping a share of £1m as part of the same promotion.
One lucky winner scooped more than £350,000, with 19 other neighbours won at least £45,000.
