Jean-Mattéo Bahoya: Leeds United 'submit deal sheet' as pursuit of Eintracht Frankfurt star goes to wire
The latest on Leeds United’s deadline day pursuit of Jean-Mattéo Bahoya
Leeds United have reportedly submitted a deal sheet as they look to get a deal for Eintracht Frankfurt winger Jean-Mattéo Bahoya over the line.
The 21-year-old has emerged as a target for the Whites in the dying embers of the transfer window, which technically closed at 11pm.
However, clubs can wrap deals up beyond the deadline with the help of deal sheets. They give clubs extra time to submit remaining documentation, with clubs having another two hours upon arrival of the dealsheet or until 1am to submit paperwork in full.

Leeds United ‘submit deal sheet’
According to Sky Sports, Leeds are optimistic they can get a deal completed by the 1am cut-off.
Fans are now having to play a waiting game, eager to see if the Whites will unveil Bahoya as their final summer window recruit.
A left-sided winger, Bahoya is a France youth international and has established himself among the Bundesliga’s most promising talents.
The importance of getting the deal done has been underlined by the sanctioning of Wilfried Gnonto’s loan move to Fiorentina earlier in the evening.
If Leeds do miss out on Bahoya, they will have weakened Daniel Farke’s offence on the final day of the window.
Leeds United’s transfer business
The West Yorkshire club have, however, managed to complete a deal to sign defender Melvin Bard on a season-long loan from Nice.
A former France youth international, the 25-year-old will provide competition and cover for Gabriel Gudmundsson in the left-back department at Elland Road.

Bard has followed James Trafford, Michael Zetterer, Tarik Muharemović, Nico Elvedi and Harry Wilson through the door in LS11.
Trafford, Muharemović, Elvedi and Wilson have already made their Whites debuts, featuring in the early stages of the 2026/27 campaign.
