'Not too many teams in the world' - Tottenham Hotspur boss Roberto De Zerbi highlights Leeds United threat
Tottenham Hotspur boss Roberto De Zerbi has previewed his side’s trip to Leeds United
Tottenham Hotspur boss Roberto De Zerbi has acknowledged Leeds United’s strengths ahead of his side’s trip to Elland Road.
Spurs appear to be turning a corner in the Premier League, while Leeds are winless across their last five league games.
Daniel Farke’s Whites were beaten 2-0 by AFC Bournemouth last weekend and will be hoping to produce a response on home turf against Spurs.
The visitors are heading into the fixture on the back of three straight league wins but De Zerbi is wary of the threat Leeds can pose.

Roberto De Zerbi on Leeds United
He said: “The intensity of Leeds, especially at home, is great. The qualities of the players, they have a clear style of play, not too many teams in the world defend in five, and in build-up they become four.
“Especially on the right side, they have a very good connection with the players on the right side. They have maybe the best striker [with the head] but also Tottenham have the right qualities to play a good game.
“Our target is to play well to make a great result tomorrow.”
International break on horizon
Leeds boss Farke believes the international break that will follow the game is a timely one, while Spurs could be forgiven for wanting the league fixtures to keep coming. De Zerbi, however, does not believe the break is arriving at a bad time.
He said: “No [it is not coming at a bad time], now the focus is just on the Leeds game, a very tough game for us, one of the best stadiums in the Premier League, I think - the atmosphere, the passion of the fans.

“We want to complete this step of the season in the best way we can. We are playing well, yes. We are making points in a row, but like I said, after the Palace game, we can't forget the beginning of the season and the last season as well.”
