Leeds United 'monitoring' £26m midfielder Marlon Gomes along with Manchester United, West Ham and Everton
Leeds United, Manchester United, Everton and West Ham United are reportedly monitoring Brazilian midfielder Marlon Gomes.
The 21-year-old currently plies his trade in Ukraine with Shakhtar Donetsk, having left Vasco da Gama in his native Brazil in January 2024.
He has sent his stock soaring since his move to Europe, standing out in domestic and European competitions.
Gomes has represented Brazil at various youth levels and it appears English clubs have taken notice of his talent.

Marlon Gomes interest
According to SportsBoom, Leeds are among the clubs with Gomes on their radar.
His current club are believed to be open to selling for €30m (£26.1m), although the Whites are not the only outfit said to be keen.
Leeds’ bitter rivals Manchester United have also been linked, while Everton and West Ham are thought to be keeping tabs ahead of a potential swoop next summer.
RB Leipzig, of the Bundesliga, are also believed to be admirers having previously targeted the midfielder.

Brazilian influence at Shakhtar Donetsk
Shakhtar have an excellent track record when it comes to recruiting Brazilian players. Over the years, an array of players plucked from South America have gone on to thrive for the club.
Earlier this year, Gomes scored the 1,000th goal registered by Brazilians in the club’s history.
He told the club’s website: “I’m very happy. This is, of course, a nice achievement. I must acknowledge all the Brazilians who contributed to this achievement – both those who are currently in the team and those who played for the club in the past and helped Shakhtar win trophies, taking their places in history.
“I want to thank all the guys who are currently in the team, as well as other Brazilians - Newertton, Kevin, Pedrinho, Eguinaldo - and all my compatriots who helped increase the number of goals scored in Shakhtar's Brazilian history.”
