'We belong' – Tarik Muharemovic after Leeds United's consecutive games against Champions League sides
TARIK MUHAREMOVIC believes Leeds United have shown they belong in the company of Champions League teams since returning from the international break.
The Whites have only picked up one point from two games against Arsenal and Manchester United, but they were better than the champions for an hour at Ashburton Grove, and disappointed to have to settle for a 1-1 draw against the Red Devils.
Centre-back Muharemovic says it shows he has joined the club he was sold when he moved from Sassuolo in the summer.
Asked if the last two matches showed the level Leeds were at now, he replied: "That's the thing they told me when I arrived here. We want to battle, especially against them (Manchester United) and to bring Leeds where it belongs.

"We just want to show everyone who we are.
"It's the second week in a row we go against a Champions League side and are disappointed to not get all three points. We know Arsenal away is always hard to play but to fight till the end to get a point or three points is something very big.
"We can be proud to come home and play such a team as (Manchester) United.
"We know how big Sunday’s game was and how difficult these games are but we still showed where we are and what we can do."

Leeds will start a weekend which takes them to struggling Sunderland two points behind Liverpool in fifth – enough for Champions League qualification since the format was expanded – as the early Premier League table starts to take shape.
These are positive times at an expanding Elland Road.
"They told me already a lot of things when I arrived but I didn't know it was going to be so good," commented the Bosnian, who has only tasted one Premier League defeat with the club so far this season.
"I'm just enjoying it and I'm happy to play with such players and also the staff and the coach.
"Elland Road is just crazy, I always said it. I'm just thankful to play here, to see supporters like this, a stadium like this – a stadium that burns even before they kick off. That's something I've never seen before.
"The message from me is just to keep on going like this, support us and stay behind us."
