Middlesbrough FC and Birmingham City 'in contact' with Hull City over Liam Millar
Middlesbrough and Birmingham City have been credited with interest in a Hull City winger
Middlesbrough are reportedly in contact with Hull City regarding a potential swoop for winger Liam Millar.
The 26-year-old helped the Tigers seal promotion from the Championship last season and has featured in the first two games of their Premier League campaign.
He popped up with the winning goal at the weekend, firing the Tigers to a valuable 1-0 away win over Coventry City.

Middlesbrough ‘in contact’ over Hull City match-winner
There has been plenty of speculation regarding his future and the possibility of a move to Stoke City has been mooted, with Potters wideman Sorba Thomas in Hull’s sights.
According to Sky Sports, Championship promotion hopefuls Middlesbrough are among those looking at the Canada international in the dying embers of the window.
Birmingham City have also been credited with interest but those keen to sign will have to move swiftly. The window is due to close at 11pm tomorrow (September 1), meaning there is not much time to get a deal arranged.
Liam Millar’s future
Millar may well be keen to stay put and fight for Premier League minutes, but he would arguably play a more prominent role if he dropped back into the Championship.
Hull have embarked on a signing spree and competition for places in Sergej Jakirovic’s squad has intensified considerably.

If Millar does depart before the deadline, he will have signed off in style. When asked about the winger’s winner at Coventry, his Hull teammate Oli McBurnie said: “I think Millar was a bit disappointed with the first one and then showed massive balls to score the second one.
“I'll be honest, as a striker, it's not the one you want when you've just missed the chance where you've run in with it for 40 yards and you've got to think about it. You've got too much time to think. You almost want an instinctive one that you can just pass in. He showed really big balls to go and finish it and were really delighted for him.”
