'Closest thing I have seen to Harry Kane' - Potential of Middlesbrough FC's Will Lankshear detailed by coach
A coach has drawn comparisons between Middlesbrough’s Will Lankshear and England talisman Harry Kane
Middlesbrough’s new frontman Will Lankshear has been compared to England talisman Harry Kane by a coach who has worked with him closely.
Lankshear arrived at the Riverside last month in a deal that could reportedly end up being worth around £20m.
He was sold to Boro by Tottenham Hotspur, who did not find a place for the 21-year-old in their immediate plans.
Lankshear has scored three goals across his first two games, generating plenty of excitement regarding his potential.

Will Lankshear potential explored
Striker coach Scott Chickelday, who has worked with Lankshear for the last two years, believes the Boro star shares attributes with Bayern Munich’s Kane.
He told Sky Sports: “He has got all the finishes in the book. He has got the little flicks around the corner, tap-ins, headers, volleys. Just an all-round number nine and there are not many around at the minute.
“His finishing is incredible. I tell people and they laugh at me, but this boy is the closest thing I have seen to Harry Kane.
"He never gets to take them but he is a really good free-kick taker. Sometimes you come out of the session and you are like, this one is special. You just get that feeling.
"It is his mentality. He wants to be the best. He wants to be the number striker in England. And then obviously he wants to be the number one in the world too. And I really would not be surprised in two years' time if he is Harry Kane's replacement.”

‘Two moves away from being a £100m striker’
Spurs sold Kane to Bayern Munich for a reported £85m and will undoubtedly come in for criticism if Lankshear goes on reach the dizzy heights he has been tipped to.
Chickelday said: “I do not want to talk about moves at the minute because Middlesbrough will probably kill me. He has only been there five minutes.
“But I think he is two moves away from being a £100m striker if he keeps developing and doing well - and I think he will.”
