Real Markets, Halifax: Organisers of Piece Hall market forced to cancel Sunday event due to ‘predicted wind gust speeds’
A prediction of wind gust speeds this weekend has forced organisers of Real Markets in Halifax to cancel their event on Sunday.
Real Markets at The Piece Hall, Halifax, is set to host Yorkshire independent traders at The Courtyard but due to the weather forecast of gusty winds, the organisers are forced to cancel their event on Sunday, October 25, 2026.

However, they have reassured that the event will still be open on Saturday, October 24, as they announced the news on their Facebook page.
The Facebook post said: “To ensure the safety of all visitors, traders and staff - predicted wind gust speeds mean Real Markets will not be here on Sunday.
“The good news? Saturday’s market is going ahead and all our brilliant indie stores are open all weekend on all 3 floors!
“Come along, browse the fantastic market stalls, grab a bite to eat and take some time to explore all the brilliant independent stores and cafes that are open all weekend. There’s plenty to discover!
“We look forward to seeing you on Saturday!”
It is free to enter and the event begins at 10am and closes at 4pm.
