Yorkshire weather: Daily forecast for Leeds, York, Sheffield, Bradford and Harrogate this weekend ahead of clock change

As we head into the weekend when the clocks go back one hour, here is a daily weather forecast for Yorkshire.

Storm Boelo is set to impact Northern Ireland, Scotland and parts of northern England over the weekend.

A deep area of low pressure is forecast to bring significant winds on Saturday night, October 24, and through Sunday, October 25 to northern parts of the UK, according to the Met Office.

Met Office deputy chief forecaster, Chris Bulmer, said: “Storm Boelo will bring strong winds and heavy rain to Northern Ireland, Scotland and parts of northern England over the weekend, impacting the opposite end of the country to Storm Austen.

“Gusts of 70-80mph in exposed coastal areas and high ground are possible, with 50-60mph gusts more widely.

“The strong winds will be accompanied by heavy rain, making for an impactful weekend of weather.

“Severe weather warnings and forecast detail will continue to develop, so people should keep up to date with the forecast over the next few days.”

While Yorkshire will be escaping the storm, the weather is forecast to be unstable with bouts of rain and clouds.

The clocks will go back one hour at 2am on Sunday, October 25, 2026, meaning that we lose an hour of sleep.
