Daniel Farke happy for Leeds United to take point from tough week
Daniel Farke said a draw was a fair result on a day when Leeds United had to dig out a 0-0 draw at Sunderland.
Windy conditions made it hard for attacking players to show their quality but James Trafford made some important saves to keep the game scoreless, and substitute Sean Longstaff missed two late chances to snatch a win.
“First of all I think it's fair to say it's not the nicest piece of football,” admitted Farke.
“These games belong also to the Premier League.

"It was one of those days where you have to accept that you can't shine that much football-wise.
"We more or less had to dig in and grind out the result and fight for second balls and show steal. This is what we did.
"In our situation, second year back at Premier League level, to travel back with the point and also with the clean sheet, it's always a good result.
"I think it's also fair to say that you could see that we had a difficult training week offensive-wise because several offensive players just back on the training pitch on Saturday in our final session, not before, we could hardly work on our processes.

"Some were not available for the starting line-up, some did not have energy to play more than 30 minutes or something like this.
"Several players were also missing in defence. It's also not healthy for the whole group.
“Overnight Nico Elvedi was ill and had to go back.
“It's a game where you cannot shine and you more or less had to dig it out.
“I think it's fair to say you could see we had a difficult training week offensive-wise and we could not work on our offensive processes. Possession-wise we could create better chances.
"But overall, I think the draw is a fair outcome of this game. For us, it's definitely a good point. In these condition, it's a good outcome.
Leeds' failing was an inability to find the net, but Farke was reluctant to be too critical of that side of the game in a week where Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Noah Okafor and Anton Stach all struggled with injury.
"We would give ourselves chances to score more goals and then also to win this game," he acknowledged. "But on an occasion like this, I'm struggling to be critical.
"Normally we are a side that creates many more chances. We are perhaps not the most effective side.
"But we are good at set-pieces, that we are good in counter-attacks, we can score goals with team goals.
On a day like this, no, we haven't shown this quality.
"But I'm not concerned at all because we have this quality."
On Trafford's assured performance, Farke said: "He came into a good side. We were not bad last season.
"In terms of expected goals against us we should have finished with way less goals than we had conceded.
"And we thought, okay, we can make improvements on this. This is what we're doing right now.
"He's for me the most promising young goalkeeper in the UK. And there's more potential to also be England's No 1 one day.
"He shows this capability for us week in, week out. But he has to keep going and show this consistency."
