Middlesbrough facing fierce battle for Championship survival – video verdict

THE 2019-20 campaign was always going to be one of transition for Middlesbrough, with new head coach Jonathan Woodgate following on from Tony Pulis.

And while Boro fans will probably never have expected to be in the running for the playoffs this season, they will also never have bet on their team being embroiled in a battle for Championship survival.

Going into the enforced break brought about by the coronavirus pandemic, Boro sit 19th in the Championship table, just two points above the bottom three with nine games remaining.

The YP’s chief football writer Stuart Rayner has been keeping a close eye on Boro’s campaign and gives his verdict in the video here.
