Leeds United boss Steve Evans hits back in spat with rival Neil Redfearn

Former Whites head coach Redfearn saw his second-bottom Rotherham side slump to a 2-0 loss at Huddersfield Town on Tuesday, after which Redfearn bemoaned the quality of players Evans brought in whilst in charge in the summer.
Leeds and Rotherham will lock horns in the FA Cup third round at Elland Road on the second Saturday in January with Evans believing Redfearn is under “extreme pressure” in his role at the Millers.

“I have read those comments and it just sounds like a man as if he is under extreme pressure and wonders what happens if he loses the next one.”
Speaking after the 2-0 loss to Huddersfield, Redfearn fumed: “This squad of players isn`t good enough for this level.
“We`re second from the bottom of the league.
“We just scraped by last year and probably didn’t recruit very well in the summer. We let good players like (Kari) Arnason, (Craig) Morgan, (Alex) Revell go who are better players than what we`ve got.
“We brought in players who were sub-standard and now we’re left with this.”
