Rotherham United's Broughton joins Lincoln City

ROTHERHAM UNITED striker Drewe Broughton has joined struggling League Two rivals Lincoln City on a one month emergency loan.

Broughton, 31, was dropped by manager Ronnie Moore six games ago and was an unused substitute during last weekend's 2-1 victory over Lincoln at Sincil Bank.

The former Norwich City striker was signed by former Millers manager Mark Robins two summers ago following his release by Milton Keynes Dons and has scored 12 goals in 51 appearances at the Don Valley Stadium.

Chief Operating Officer Paul Douglas said: "We wish Drewe well for the month ahead and then we look forward to seeing him back here for what will be an important run-in."

Lincoln manager Chris Sutton is looking to bolster his strikeforce after suffering five defeats in the last six games.
