Sheffield United's Sharp gives Burnley blunt response

SHEFFIELD United striker Billy Sharp has rejected a move to fellow Championship club Burnley.

The striker, who netted 15 goals on loan at Doncaster Rovers last season, was expected to move this week after the Blades accepted a seven-figure bid from the Clarets.

However, Sharp has weighed up his options and decided to stay at Bramall Lane.

Leeds United and Doncaster have also shown interest in the 24-year-old, who has 12 months remaining on his existing deal.
