Huddersfield Town, Sheffield Wednesday and York City win awards in EFL monthly honours - but no doubles
HUDDERSFIELD TOWN chief Martin Drury has been named as League One's Manager of the Month for August - following his first full month in permanent charge of the Terriers.
There was also delight for Sheffield Wednesday forward Jamal Lowe, who pipped Town's in-form forward Joe Taylor and dependable Bradford City defender Matt Pennington for the players' gong in the third tier.
Meanwhile, in League Two, there was recognition for recent York City signing Harry Boyes, who scooped the player-of-the-month accolade for August.
Drury, 40, was rewarded for an impressive August at the helm for Town. The Terriers opened up with a 3-0 win at home to AFC Wimbledon before drawing 1-1 at MK Dons, when only a contentious non-award of a goal denied them three more points.

Town finished the month with a late comeback win at Cambridge United.
Drury edged out Owls counterpart Henrik Pedersen, Blackpool's Ian Evatt and Stockport County's Jim McNulty.
Lowe was chosen for racking up three goals and one assist in August.
In the fourth tier, Boyes was rewarded following a barnstorming start to life at York.

The Barnsley-raised left-back and ex-Sheffield United man scored two goals on his debut against Bristol Rovers and has added three assists. Minstermen boss Scott Lindsey missed out on the managerial gong, which went to Barnet's Dean Brennan.
Middlesbrough striker Will Lankshear, short-listed for the Championship player-of-the-month award, was overlooked, with Southampton's Cyle Larin winning the trophy.
