Chey Dunkley – a header won in the opening seconds set the tone for a good debut. Looks like a centre-back Tony Pulis will like 7

Joost van Aken – little impact on his return to the side 5

Dominic Iorfa – did well as a holding midfielder before dropping into defence, where he ruptured his Achilles – a cruel blow 6

Kadeem Harris – looked good as a second -half centre-forward 7

Callum Paterson – did not contribute enough beyond his long throws 5

Adam Reach – Wednesday were unable to get him into crossing positions 6
