Hapless defending, two missed penalties and their goal coming from an own goal by the goalkeeper - it was a day to forget.

Ellery Balcombe – made a good save to deny Gooch 7

Brad Halliday – an excellent tackle on Scowen redeemed him 5

Joe Wright – part of a defence that was run ragged 5

Andy Butler – like Wright, did not look the same without Tom Anderson alongside him 5

Cameron John – beaten far too easily in the air for Wyke's second 4

Matt Smith – one terrific pass but Halliday wasted it 6

Madger Gomes – by no means alone in having an ineffective first half 5

Jon Taylor – gets credit for finding good positions, but his finishing was symptomatic of Doncaster's first half. His penalty miss summed up their second 5

Taylor Richards – carried the fight and forced Lee Burge's own goal, but his finishing could have been better 7

Reece James – moved to left-back after the horse had bolted but he was partly responsible, too deep for Charlie Wyke's second goal 6

Omar Bogle – came close in the second half but little to work off 6.

John Bostock (for Gomes, 46) – played a very good pass for Doncaster's goal 6

Josh Sims (for John, 54) – replaced John but the game had long since gone 5

Jason Lokilo (for Taylor, 72) – did well to win a penalty but he could not convert it 5
