Barry Cotter (Barnsley)

The Reds’ best performer on a mixed bag of an afternoon against Northampton.

Anthony O’Connor (Harrogate Town)

Led the way at the back with a resolute display to help Harrogate secure an impressive win in north Essex.

The Hull City loanee produced a fine performance to help Rovers bag three points against Morecambe.

Midfield

Mickel Miller (Huddersfield Town)

Produced some excellent crosses in the first half and then showed his team ethic in the second to help Town make it three from three at the start of the 2024-25 league campaign.

Ollie Arblaster (Sheffield United)

Richie Smallwood (Bradford City)

Coolly-taken penalty and produced an captain’s innings for the Bantams against newboys Bromley.

His redemption continued with a well-taken goal at Sheffield Wednesday.

Forwards

Willy Gnonto (Leeds United)

Posed the Owls no end of problems from a deep-lying role. Fine contribution for Leeds’ opener.

Andy Cook (Bradford City)

Led the line well and found the net. Typical Cook.
