'Dining with the big boys' - Sheffield RUFC revel in taking first National One scalp against Leeds Tykes
Sheffield RUFC coach Anthony Posa hailed the Yorkshire derby victory over Leeds Tykes as a “massive” moment for the club and is confident there is more to come from his newly-promoted side.
Sheffield claimed their first win at third-tier level in their 124-year history on Saturday when beating Leeds 19-12 at Abbeydale.

Coming on the back of last season’s promotion and two points gained in a gallant losing effort at Tonbridge Juddians seven days earlier, it augers well for a club punching above their weight.
“We didn’t have the best of pre-seasons for various reasons but we’ve been building slowly but surely, so the most positive thing was to beat a really good team like Leeds, but also recognise that we can be better,” said Posa.
“We didn’t get the fourth try (for a bonus point) and we should have, and that’s a positive sign that it’s not just me but the players that realise that as well.
“We respect Leeds and what they’ve done in their history, so it’s a massive win for us in front of a good crowd. It was good to get the buzz back and get that win under our belts.
"It gives us the belief that we can compete at this level.
“We’re dining with the big boys, there’s every reason why we won’t succeed at this level and we’re everyone’s favourites to go down, but we’re not looking at it that way, we’re enjoying the ride and we’re as positive as we can be.
"I’m not going to change who we are.”
