Exciting Prentiss Nixon to energise Sheffield Sharks in Super League Basketball
Prentiss Nixon, a livewire, passionate guard, who stands 6ft 2in tall, has rejoined the Sharks for what will be his first full season in 2024/25 having made an explosive impact upon joining midway through the last campaign.
Nixon averaged 9.2 points per game and 3 assists but he brought so much more than statistics with his energy and passion which had the ability to lift his team-mates and the crowd at the Canon Medical Arena down the stretch of the season.

Nixon said: “After experiencing last season with the Sharks, it was an easy decision to make to return to the team.
“I really enjoyed my time in Sheffield, I loved the team, city and the fans so I can’t wait to come back and get to experience it all for a full season.”
Nixon is the third player confirmed as returning to the Sharks for the new season which begins in September, alongside Jordan Ratinho and captain Rodney Glasgow Jnr, with Bennett Koch’s return set to be confirmed in the coming days.

Sharks head coach Atiba Lyons, who told The Yorkshire Post this week there would be more new faces coming in, was keen to bring Nixon back.
“Prentiss made a very good impression last term,” said Lyons.
“His determination and mindset, especially during the playoffs, highlighted the type of character that he is and that is someone who I want back in my team.
“His approach in big pressure moments and the way in which he interacts with his team-mates will be a valuable asset once more this season.”
