It was reported that Feki was looking in excellent condition ahead of the new campaign with Castleford due to start against Warrington Wolves on March 28.
But the West Yorkshire club released a statement saying he had ruptured an Achilles tendon in training.
They have not said how long the player will be missing for but often such injuries can take up to nine months to recover from.
