Joe Burgess extends stay in latest Hull KR boost
Joe Burgess has become the latest key man to commit to Hull KR after signing a one-year contract extension that will keep him at Craven Park until the end of 2027.
The England winger scored 24 tries in 25 games in KR's treble-winning campaign, taking his tally to 42 in just 48 appearances.
Burgess quickly joins left-edge partner Oliver Gildart in extending his stay with the Super League champions.
"I've loved my time in east Hull since I moved over," said the 31-year-old, who scored a double in the Grand Final win over former club Wigan Warriors.
"The people and the city are lovely. All the lads are great and we've really gelled over the past two years.
"It shows with winning the treble last year. We get to go again this year and try to do it again.
"To be able to do it all over again with my best friend, Gilly, I can’t ask for much more. He can send me into the corner a few more times over the next two seasons."
Willie Peters has hailed Burgess' contribution during his two seasons with the Robins.

"Joe has been outstanding since he joined the club in January 2024," said the Rovers boss.
"He's a great finisher, as we all know, but it's what he does off the ball that impresses me and his team-mates. Joe is a character off the field and a popular member of the dressing room."
