Sheffield-born space pioneer Helen Sharman has announced her first-ever talk tour with a special homecoming show at Sheffield City Hall.

Helen Sharman made history by blasting off into space in 1991 – now she will tell her truly out-of-this-world story on her first ever talk tour.
And she will bring Space for the Future to Sheffield City Hall’s Memorial Hall on Wednesday, March 24, 2027 - get tickets here.
The show will see her reflect on her pioneering mission, giving audiences a chance to hear about travelling beyond Earth from someone who has experienced it first-hand.
Alongside that remarkable personal story, she will look ahead to the future of human spaceflight and the scientific discoveries that future missions could unlock.
For Sheffield audiences it will be a chance to hear one of the city’s most extraordinary success stories while exploring questions that reach far beyond its boundaries.
In the second half, Helen will be joined on stage by award-winning comedian, author and science broadcaster Robin Ince.
Together, they will discuss how space exploration is changing, the challenges facing us here on Earth and the discoveries that could lie ahead.
Audience questions will also form part of the evening, giving visitors the opportunity to put their own cosmic curiosities to Britain’s first astronaut.
