DWF’s profits keep growing

BUSINESS law firm DWF, which employs more than 300 staff in Leeds, yesterday revealed that its full year profits and revenue rose last year.

More than 400 jobs were saved when DWF bought rival Cobbetts out of administration in a pre-pack deal last year. The Cobbetts team included staff in Manchester, Leeds and Birmingham.

DWF has reported a 23 per cent increase in net profit, taking the firm from £20.8m in 2012/13 to £25.5m in 2013/14. The firm, which employs 2,500 people in 12 offices, also increased its revenue by two per cent year-on-year from £188m to £191m.

DWF’s managing partner Andrew Leaitherland said: “This year has been one of major consolidation.”
