The full list of Yorkshire sites added to Historic England's Heritage at Risk Register 2026
More than a dozen sites and buildings in Yorkshire have been added to Historic England’s Heritage at Risk Register for 2026.
From historic churches and viaducts to a Roman town and Bronze Age burial sites, a wide variety of Yorkshire’s incredible history has been classed as at risk by Historic England.
Among the notable sites on this year’s list is six sites in the Fylingdales area which have been added to the register following the devastating fire last summer.
A total of 16 sites have been added to the list, while four sites have been removed.
However, there is good news for one site which has been on the list since 2013. Wakefield’s Crown Court House is set to be removed from the list once renovations have been completed.
