Wales squad: Joe Rodon among five Leeds United players included despite injury lay-off
Wales have called up five Leeds United players - including one who has been absent for over two months
Joe Rodon is one of five Leeds United players to have been called up by Wales - despite having spent over two months sidelined by injury.
The 29-year-old has been out injured since late August, when he was forced off in Leeds’ 1-1 draw with Brentford.
He recently started his reintegration into the Leeds fold, making a tentative return to training as part of Daniel Farke’s squad.

Joe Rodon makes Wales squad
Despite his lack of action at club level, Rodon has been named in the Wales squad for upcoming Nations League battles with Norway and Portugal.
Also in Craig Bellamy’s squad are Leeds captain Ethan Ampadu, Whites wingers Harry Wilson and Daniel James and young defender Jayden Lienou. Hull City wideman Sorba Thomas is the other Yorkshire representative and there is a place for ex-Leeds goalkeeper Karl Darlow, now of Manchester United.
Last week, when asked about Rodon’s condition, Leeds manager Farke said: “Also some good news with Joe. He is since yesterday part-integrated back in team training, [taking] the next steps in his rehab right now.
“He just needs session after session after being out for so long but a way better situation than it was last week. So probably too soon for this weekend but sooner rather than later.”
