Is your local Aldi getting an upgrade? Three Yorkshire stores set for refresh
Three Aldi stores in Yorkshire are set to be upgraded this summer as part of a £300 million investment programme across the UK.
The supermarket chain has announced that its stores on Stanningley Road in Bramley, Old Beck Road in Harrogate and Yarm Lane in Stockton will benefit from refurbishment works.
The upgrades will vary by location but are expected to include creating more space for shoppers and introducing sustainability measures such as energy-efficient fridge doors and natural refrigerants aimed at reducing carbon emissions.
Some stores will also receive improvements to bakery, health and beauty, and fresh food areas.

The investment forms part of Aldi's wider plans for 2026, which include upgrades at 25 stores nationwide and a separate £370 million commitment to opening new stores across the UK.
Jonathan Neale, Managing Director of National Real Estate at Aldi UK, said: “We’re continuing to invest in our stores to ensure our customers have the best possible shopping experience at Aldi.
“These upgrades will help us create even more convenient and efficient stores for both customers and colleagues while also supporting our sustainability ambitions.”
