Leeds Digital Hub seeks Yorkshire’s best small businesses

The scheme, run in partnership by The Yorkshire Post and Leeds Metropolitan University’s QU2 business support unit, is looking for exciting companies to join its swelling ranks.

As well as access to premium flexible workspace in Leeds city centre, Leeds Digital Hub tenants have access to a range of services and advice.

Companies can access professional services support from law firm DWF and accountancy practice WGN, while software entrepreneur and QU2 trainer Steve Baker provides expert mentoring.

Businesses also benefit from the collaborative working environment, which allows companies to learn from some of the fastest growing firms in the region.

Mr Baker hailed the initiative as ‘a really exciting opportunity’ for technology businesses in the region.

‘It has long been said that Yorkshire needs a digital hub to support innovation in the region. This is really great to have.’

Tenants will have access to ongoing support from Mr Baker, both on a one-to-one basis and in regular sessions.

‘The co-operative working is really key to the Hub,’ he said. ‘Discussions are already starting about companies referring business to each other, sharing skills and resources.’

Current tenants include The UK App Company, Immedia, phase90, Snowball Digital, The Capture Lab and Beanify.

Rob Julian, director at The Capture Lab, said the Hub has enabled him ‘really concentrate’ on developing the business.
