Yorkshire hospitals record 30 new Covid deaths just days after Christmas

There have been 30 more Covid-19 deaths recorded at Yorkshire hospitals, NHS England said on Tuesday.

It brings the total number of coronavirus patients to have died at hospital in Yorkshire to 5,860.

Deaths were recorded where a patient either tested positive for Covid-19 or where no positive test result was received for Covid-19, but Covid-19 was mentioned on their death certificate.

Doncaster and Bassetlaw Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust - 1

Harrogate and District NHS Foundation Trust - 1

Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust - 5

Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust - 4

Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust - 1

Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust - 2

The Rotherham NHS Foundation Trust - 3

Sheffield Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust - 8

York Teaching Hospital NHS Foundation Trust - 2

A further 365 people who tested positive for coronavirus have died in hospital in England, bringing the total number of confirmed deaths reported in hospitals to 49,225, NHS England said on Tuesday.

Patients were aged between 26 and 101. All except 12, aged between 43 and 92, had known underlying health conditions.

The deaths were between December 12 and 28.

There were 11 other deaths reported with no positive Covid-19 test result.
