Airport vows to reunite tourists with luggage

Best-selling crime thriller novelist Peter James was among passengers left without their luggage after he flew out to the French Alps with British Airways.
He commented on the social networking site Twitter: “Sunday morning in the French Alps and still no bags. British Airways have taken utter incompetence to new heights.”
Officials at Gatwick apologised to travellers.
