Matt Hamshaw staying on as Sheffield Wednesday but new boss Dave Challinor moves one coach on

Challinor has brought assistant Clint Hill and Anthony Sweeney with him to Hillsborough, and his full coaching line-up has now been confirmed.

Shuttleworth joined Henrik Pedersen's coaching staff last season, but has now followed the Dane out of the club following the latter's sacking last month.

“Pete has been an important part of the football operation during a period of considerable change at Sheffield Wednesday," commented sporting director Simon Wilson.

“His extensive knowledge of the game and recruitment network have been hugely valuable, while his ability to bring people together, encourage collaboration and support players with genuine care and professionalism has been greatly appreciated.

“His commitment has also extended beyond football, with Pete making a positive contribution to community causes and initiatives connected to the club.

“On behalf of everyone at Sheffield Wednesday, I would like to thank Pete for his dedication and commitment and wish him every success for the future.”

It has been confirmed that former Rotherham United manager Matt Hamshaw, who served as caretaker manager after Pedersen's sacking and oversaw 1-1 draws with Cambridge United and Blackpool and expressed his desire to stay on, will remain as an assistant manager.

Goalkeeping coach Daryl Flahavan has also been retained.

Andy Holdsworth will continue to focus on individual player development for those aged 18 and above.

Giles Coke returns to his role with the under-21s having assisted Hamshaw's temporary coaching staff.
