Body found in River Aire in search for missing Apperley Bridge woman

Police searching for a woman missing from Apperley Bridge have sadly found a body in the River Aire.
52-year-old Jane went missing on February 24, and was seen at her home in Apperley Bridge.
Police launched an investigation that included an underwater search team.
On Sunday (Mar 15), underwater search teams located the body of a woman in the River Aire at Kirkstall.
Police have said formal identification is yet to take place, but Jane’s family have been informed.
Detective Inspector Andy Queen of Bradford CID said: “Extensive enquiries have been ongoing over the last few weeks to find Jane and sadly officers have found a body believed to be her.
“Specially trained officers are continuing to support her family at this difficult time.
“We would like to thank the public who shared the appeal to find her.”
