Police are appealing for help from the public after seven puppies were stolen from a Yorkshire farm.

The puppies, and their mother, were stolen from a farm on Main Road in Thorngumbald, in East Yorkshire, on November 9.

The Springadors, which are a Labrador and Spaniel cross breed, are only a few weeks old and were taken at around 6pm.

A statement from Humberside Police said: "We are very concerned for the welfare of these animals, given their young age they require professional care.

"If you or someone you know has been offered puppies for sale, even if you have been told they won’t be ready for a few weeks, please let us know.

"We are also asking people who are members of dog interest groups on social media to share our appeal and report any information about the whereabouts of these animals to us so we can get them back home safe and well."

Anyone with information is asked to contact Humberside Police on 101, quoting reference 16/116373/20.
