A man has died after his car collided with a tree approximately half a mile from Catterick Garrison, police said.

It happened on Range Road at around 5.55pm on Sunday May 31 when a black Audi travelling out of the Garrison, left the road and hit a tree.

The driver, a 32-year-old man and sole occupant of the car, was pronounced dead at the scene.
