Hired Lamborghini seized during supercar stop in Leeds

A Lamborghini Huracan has been taken off the streets after its driver was found to be uninsured.

The supercar was one of a number of high-powered vehicles stopped by police on Harehills Lane yesterday morning after the Huracan and an orange Lamborghini Aventador were reported for anti-social driving.

The other drivers of the cars, which are all believed to have been hired, were given verbal warnings by officers, but the man behind the wheel of the Huracan was found to be uninsured when asked to produce his documents.

The supercar was seized by police and towed away from the scene.

West Yorkshire Police officers have taken several supercars - many of them Lamborghinis - off the road in recent months.

Last October, a groom had a hired Huracan confiscated on his wedding day when he was caught driving it without insurance in Bingley. It was still decorated with ribbons when it was towed away.
