There's now a webcam filming the York Station goose nest
The female goose chose to build a nest in a flower box close to the main entrance to the station as the concourse is now quieter than it has been in living memory after skeleton timetables were introduced for the lockdown period.
She has now laid four eggs since the first appeared last month, when British Transport Police officers posted photos of the bird on social media.

LNER staff have now set up a webcam to provide footage of the goose family as they hatch and grow, and are posting regular updates on their Twitter and Instagram accounts.
Her decision to set up home near the platforms has been interpreted as nature reclaiming a usually busy space.
The mother goose had initially left the nest after laying her first egg, leading to fears she had been disturbed, but has now returned and laid three more.

A spokesperson for LNER, said: “We are thrilled to see the return of the goose to York Station. Interest from customers viewing our regular #GooseCam posts on social media continues to be incredible. We’re grateful to our customers for continuing to follow the advice to stay at home although we expect York Station could soon become home to several more guests in the coming days.”
LNER will also accept suggestions for names for the goose and her goslings submitted via Twitter.
