Town track hosts dirt-bike festival

MOTOCROSS, Supercross, Endurocross and sprint races will be taking place in Doncaster this weekend as the two-day "Dirt 3-2-1" festival returns to the FatCat Motoparc in Armthorpe.

Competitors at the event, which takes place tomorrow and Sunday, will include Lauren Collingwood, from Doncaster, who will be competing in the big-wheel 85cc division for young people aged 12 to 15.

A spokesman for Dirt 3-2-1 said: "There'll also be trials demonstrations by 12-times world champion Dougie Lampkin, live music from local lass Katy Bullock and her band, a trade village where you're bound to pick up a dirt-bike related bargain or two, an off-road expo where some interesting new dirt bikes will be on show, bouncy castles and a selection of fine food eateries."

Tickets cost 5 per person and gates open at 9.30am each day. For more information, visit the event website at www.dirt321.co.uk.
