Leeds 10K 2026 road closures: Where will roads be closed in the Yorkshire city, when will they be closed and for how long?

Ahead of the Leeds 10K 2026 race, various road closures will be enforced in the city as well as roads with restricted access to ensure the safety of the people participating in this year’s charity run.

Thousands of runners are preparing to take part in the Leeds 10K, returning on Sunday, June 14, 2026, for another celebration of community spirit, determination and charitable fundraising.

Since launching in 2007, the Leeds 10K has grown into one of Yorkshire’s most popular running events and aims to attract participants of all ages and abilities from across the region and beyond.

The race is organised by Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All and continues to honour Jane’s legacy by raising money for a variety of local and national charities.

The charities participants can choose to support include: Family Fund, Home-Start Leeds, the Jane Tomlinson Appeal, NHS Leeds Community Healthcare, Lighthouse Futures Trust, Leeds Hospitals Charity, Leeds Rhinos Foundation, Macmillan Cancer Support, Women’s Health Matters and Zarach.

The runners set off at 9am from outside the Parkinson Steps at the University of Leeds, following a route through Headingley before finishing on The Headrow.

The Mini and Junior events will follow from 9.45am, offering shorter distances for younger runners - 1.5K for Minis (ages 3-8) and 2.5K for Juniors (ages 9-14).

Tristan Batley-Kyle, operations director at Jane Tomlinson’s Run For All, said: “The Leeds 10K is about more than just the race – it’s an opportunity to celebrate Jane’s legacy, continue her incredible fundraising work and bring communities together, while recognising the personal achievements of every runner.

“We’re excited to welcome participants of all abilities, whether it’s someone taking on their very first event, a seasoned runner, or those competing in the Corporate Challenge – there’s something for everyone.

“With places still available, we’d encourage anyone who wants to experience Leeds at its best to sign up soon.”
