Heavy snow has fallen across Yorkshire on Tuesday morning

Police in parts of Yorkshire have warned motorists not to travel due to heavy snow. Several hours of snow has fallen across various parts of the county, with Sheffield, Leeds and North Yorkshire all blanketed.
Buses have been delayed or diverted including in Leeds, Halifax, Huddersfield and Bradford.
The latest forecast is for the snow to turn to rain but an amber weather warning remains in place until 1pm.

Northern trains update:
Northern: “Following an obstruction on the track between Headingley and Horsforth some lines will be reopened shortly.”
Northern Train services running through these stations are now returning to normal.

Northern has said that some lines will be re-opened shortly following an obstruction on the track.
Northern trains suspended from Leeds due to obstruction on track between Horsforth and Headingley
Disruption is expected until 6pm.
This is affecting services between Leeds and Harrogate in both directions of travel.
Road replacement transport operated by J & B travel will depart as follows:
15:45 from Harrogate towards Leeds calling at Hornbeam Park, Pannal, Weeton, Horsforth, Headingley, Burley Park, terminating at Leeds.
Journey times will be extended by up to 30 minutes.
